When you get your paycheque, what is the first thing you do with it? Well, I used to pay my EMI to the bank for my two-wheeler loan. After that, there were no calculations of the remaining money. By the time I lost every penny of my salary before I got my next paycheque. So, to avoid such a situation in your life and save money for your future goals, it is a must that you plan your salary or income for expenditure, saving, and investment.
Today we will learn easy ways to save money effortlessly just by changing some of our habits.
1. Shop with a grocery list in your hand.

Never forget to make a list of groceries to be purchased because if you don’t take it, you will end up buying unnecessary things you see out there.
2. Compare prices before you buy.
You should find out which shop or super Mart sells at lower prices, or which product is cheaper at which store, then buy it from there every time. You will find this out after you buy a few times at those stores.
- Cook at home instead of going out.
You should cook your everyday meals at home. Even the lunch at your work should be packed from home. It not only cuts the amount you spend but also improves your health.

- Wait for a day before impulse buying.
If your impulses trigger you to buy something unnecessary immediately, do hold that impulse for 24 hours. Think if you really need that product. I am pretty sure the answer will be no. Controlling the impulse saves you money that would have been wasted.
- Choose value over brand.
Some people have a habit of buying branded clothes, shoes, bags, etc., even if the brand is not providing the same worth as much as they cost you. So you should go to local artisans or craftsmen to seek quality products.
- Track monthly expenses.
You can’t control what you don’t know. First track your monthly expenses. Then you will be able to cut unnecessary ones among them.
- Avoid alcohol, soft drinks, and smoking.
One of the best ways to save your money and your health—after all, health is wealth. These things cost you heavily and on a daily basis if you get addicted. Further, they harm your body, causing you to pay hospital bills subsequently. So try to avoid them.
- Buy quality items.
Prefer quality over quantity. Don’t buy 2 or 3 poor-quality T-shirts; instead, buy 1 of good quality that will last longer and look premium.
- Use public transport whenever possible.
If you use your personal car when you travel alone, it costs you for 4 people. Instead, use public transport, which is very cheap worldwide. After all, what matters is the distance you cover, not the vehicle you cover it with.
- Limit your UPI or wallet transactions.
Using cash over your UPI or wallet can reduce your unnecessary spending drastically because every note slipping off your fingers makes you think if the purchase is so important.
